Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Strategic meeting in Rome,Italy

As a follow-up to the recent Global Youth Innovation Network Workshop-Fair that was held in Benin Republic on October 13th 2011 and in the general context of the Regional Youth Innovation Platform, the Youth Advisory Group (YAG) of the Global Youth Innovation Network are visiting their strategic partners at the IFAD headquarters in Rome, Italy. This official meeting has been set up to track the progress of the GYIN operations managed by the YAG and discuss future challenges and opportunities with key partners as IFAD and PHELPS STOKES.
This strategic meeting is a good ground for the GYIN and its partners to determine how best to address the needs and the aspirations of rural youths on a global level.
As the YAG will share the strategic plan 2012-2014 with the Ifad staff and key partners, the stakeholders will hold negotiations on how to scale up the GYIN operations and ensure inclusive rural youth engagements.
The YAG members have been working since October on the constitution, the strategic plan and the organizational structure of the GYIN and will hold nothing back on advocating for the Global Youth Innovation Fund.
The Youth Advisory Group ensures that GYIN acts and operates fully as youth-led and driven initiatives in order to identify, support, represent and promote youth needs, interests, ambitions and aspirations more accurately, effectively and efficiently. The main objective of the YAG is to act as the core network of youth representatives with oversight in the functioning, operation and overall management of the GYIN.
