The goal of the speaker series is to bring the voice of African youth, practitioners, policy makers, and agribusiness experts together to share their knowledge and experience on how to effectively fight hunger and provide long-term food security through youth entrepreneurship, agribusiness, employment, and innovation.
Our first series entitled “Can Youth Be the Solution to Combat Hunger in Africa” will bring together a panel of speakers who will express their ideas and proposed solutions on how to support youth entrepreneurial projects aimed at developing their communities in order to promote food security and contribute to the reduction of poverty among the rural poor in Africa.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Pape Samb, Chairman, GYIN and Jeff Vosseller, Publisher, AAM. Speakers include: Nandini Gunewardena, Gender and Rural Statistics Development Officer (FAO); Alexandre Laure, Junior Professional Officer, World Bank; Dennis Matanda, Head of Government Relations, Manchester Trade Ltd. Inc.; Tim McCoy, Senior Advisor Outreach, World Cocoa Foundation; Tjada McKenna, Deputy Coordinator Development, Feed the Future (USAID); Henri Joel Nkuepo, Associate Counsel, World Bank and Bob Rabatsky, Director, Fintrac Partnering for Innovation.
