Let’s Take on Agricultural Growth in Ghana with Pragmatic Measures!

Agricultural technologies are essential for an African Green Revolution. Technologies need to be accessible and affordable for farmers.
Equally critical are incentives systems that will make agricultural investments profitable for farmers. Agricinghana believes that what is needed is a “policy-induced” process of change that will bring about the green revolution. We believe policy advocacy with large scale promotion of best practices, appropriate technologies and the strengthening of markets to provide comprehensive and pro-poor solutions for small- scale farmers is the best way forward.
Ghanaian farmers urgently need support to enable them to access improved seeds and fertilizers, so that they can rapidly raise their crop yields. What are needed now are bold pro-poor policies that will allow millions of farmers to produce surpluses for the market-in the short-,medium-, and long-terms.
