REDI COMMODITIES LIMITED provides an enabling environment for agribusinesses in Africa by integrating the business services they need to grow onto one single platform. RCLs role is to identify, nurture and develop a critical mass of viable growth-oriented agribusinesses. We aim to enhance the knowledge, skill, and performance of agribusiness entrepreneurs and managers through innovative training, consulting and mentoring services. RCL also aims to support youth to seize the vast opportunities in the agricultural sector.
RCL aims to contribute to the Creation and Animation of Dynamic West African Commodity Trading Markets that demonstrates sustainable growth for our team and Agribusiness Stakeholders.
Our Mission is to improve farmers’ productivity and their livelihood, develop innovative business models that attract investors and youth to the Agribusiness sector in the Ecowas Region.
Candidate should have passion for Agriculture and be ready to become an Extension Officer who is ready to stay and work in the rural area with farmers/FBOs.
Candidates applying for this position MUST reside in that same region where they will operate and should be ready to own a farm for H/Herself.

To achieve the desired results, the Business Development Associate will be expected to do the following:
¬ Identify, recruit and register competent rice and maize farmers for all RCL projects in the agreed operational areas of the project.
¬ Work closely with stakeholders to identify responsible and credit worthy FBOs in your area of operation to register them on RCL projects.
¬ Provide detailed information of farmers as requested for by RCL.
¬ Meet with stakeholders in your region of location to discuss collaboration on RCL projects and its campaign in the area.
¬ Sensitize registered RCL farmers on the activities and benefits of joining any of the RCL projects.
¬ Promote and sell farm inputs and other services provided by RCL to the registered farmers in his/her operational area.
¬ Mobilize payment of agreed percentage of the total cost of input to be supplied before farm inputs are delivered to them.
¬ Conduct recovery exercises to collect balance payments for farm inputs provided to farmers in his/her operational area after harvest.
¬ Supervise farmers’ activities from land preparation to off-taking to ensure that GAPs are followed through to attain desired yields.
¬ Supervise harvesting of all farmer under off-take contracts to avoid side-selling
¬ Report defaulting farmers immediately to RCL for necessary steps to be taken.
Key Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a graduate with an educational background in agriculture, but preference will be given to graduates from Agricultural Colleges.
Consideration will also be given to SHS graduates who are already into farming with years of experience.
