Value Added Agriculture/Aquaculture Expo-West Africa, a unique conference and exhibition “promoting value added agriculture and the production thereof” is scheduled for the 2nd to 4th November, 2017 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
During a Press and Client briefing today at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Adele Eloff, General Manager Africa of Reed Exhibitions, categorically stated that the Expo is the only trade event focusing exclusively on the full Agri/Aqua business value chain in West Africa.
The Value Added Agriculture Expo – West Africa creates a platform for trade and investment opportunities through attracting key investors and buyers and will showcase the latest equipment and technology supporting the production and manufacturing of value added products. Additionally, it offers match-making sessions between product buyers and exhibitors.
Supported by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), the event will showcase the West Africa Agriculture/Aquaculture sector by means of promoting the full value added universe for agribusinesses and agriprocessing.
Also supported by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and several international agribusiness entities, the event will showcase and promote value added products and production thereof for investment and trade opportunities West Africa.
Addressing the Media and Client briefing , Bagbara Tanko, Public Relations Officer of MoFA indicated that the collaboration with Reed Exhibitions offers a great grounding and promotional avenue for the Government’s Planting for Food and Job (PFJ) programme and the “One District One Factory” (1D1F) initiative. “This event validates the commitment and drive shown by the Government in driving the local industrialization agenda”, he stated.
Gerrie Jordaan, Country Director of AFGRI Ghana Co. Ltd in a brief talk further underscored the fact that the event offers opportunities for Ghanaian private sector operators to partner with international companies with better resources to expand their products and services.
