Maiden Ghana Agribusiness Essay Competition Winners Receive Prize Cash!

We are happy to announce that the five winners of the first Ghana Agribusiness Essay competition (2017-2018) have received their prize money cheques of GHS 2,000 each at a short ceremony in Accra. Two of the awardees based in Accra received their cheques presented by the President of the Ghana Agribusiness Chamber, Mr Anthony Morrison. Other partner organisations were also represented.

The other three Ghana Agribusiness Essay winners residing in Brong Ahafo and Northern Regions will receive their winning funds wired to their respective bank accounts. The total prize cash awarded is 10,000 Ghana Cedis.

The Ghana Agribusiness Essay contest is an opportunity to help Ghanaians understand and articulate the current state of knowledge use to inform policy, identify windows of opportunity for change, prioritize areas for improvement and co-design feasible change plans to boost Ghana’s agricultural sector.

The essay contest is aimed at promoting new business opportunities in crop, livestock, and aquaculture value chains in Ghana, raise awareness of opportunities in agriculture; and identify wealth creation activities among communities in Ghana.

The 2019 Ghana Agribusiness Essay competition thematic areas will be announced later this month, August. Watch out for it and take part!
