First of its kind SMART Factories Expo to be staged in Accra
A first of its kind expo focused on next generation factories is set to be held in Accra this week.
The expo, SMARTFactories, will run alongside the Value Added Agriculture Expo West Africa and co-located Value Added Aquaculture Expo West Africa at Accra’s Providence Events and Recreation Centre from 2 – 4 August, giving Ghana’s agriculture, aquaculture, agro-processing and manufacturing sectors an end-to-end overview of the trends, techniques and technologies to optimise food production and manufacturing, and to boost business.
The launch edition of SMARTFactories will bridge the gap between the developing manufacturing enterprises in West Africa and original equipment manufacturing enterprises. The show will bring together technologies and products related to smart technology for the mining, packaging, automotive and food processing sectors, including factory automation technologies, industrial automation & control technologies, IoT /M2M solutions, industrial robots, green energy solutions and factory equipment.
Delegates working in manufacturing, R&D, production, procurement, plant and facility management, testing and development will enjoy two days of in-depth workshops, hands on access to new technologies, and networking opportunities with leading suppliers at SMARTFactories. International exhibitors participating in the event include Omron Electronics, Industry 4 Turbo Machines, Rascals Automation, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Vega Instruments SA.
Among the talks and workshops at the event will be:
¬ Software in manufacturing;
¬ Process Technology – from raw materials to higher value end products;
