MBC Africa’s role is to identify, nurture and develop a critical mass of viable growth-oriented agribusinesses as a pipeline for sustainable and impactful investment in selected African economies. We aim to enhance the knowledge, skill, and performance of agribusiness entrepreneurs and managers through innovative training, consulting and mentoring services. MBC Africa also aims to support youth to seize the vast opportunities in the agricultural sector.

Main Responsibilities
To achieve the desired results, the IT Intern will be expected to do the following;
¬ Working with the Advisory and Consulting Team to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create visually appealing and dynamic documents, charts and graphics
¬ Utilizing data to create charts and graphs in PowerPoint
¬ Participating in documents Proofreading by checking document formatting, layout and content
¬ Manipulating data and pulling the compiled information from Excel
¬ Incorporating visual enhancements and dynamic specialized graphics into specialized client proposals and documents
¬ Applying formatting to Data Tables and Questionnaires
¬ Managing and maintaining electronic project files and hard copy materials
¬ Ensuring the proper supplies are on hand for report production, client meetings and workshops
¬ Providing additional administrative support to other professional staff, ensuring team deadlines are met

Key Skills & Qualifications

¬ A four year college degree in any discipline (Preference will be given to IT graduates).
¬ 2-4 years of support experience
¬ Advanced to Expert-level Microsoft PowerPoint skills
¬ Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel Skills
¬ Above-average Adobe Photoshop skills and/or similar software and image-editing packages
¬ Graphic design skills
¬ Comfort with numbers and analytics
¬ Solid project management and organizational skills
¬ Creativity and good visual eye
¬ A detail-oriented nature and the desire to produce the work to the highest standard
¬ Being a self-starter and problem-solver that works well individually as well as in a team dynamic
¬ Professionalism and good communication skills

COMPENSATION
¬ First 3 months of internship is unpaid
¬ After 3 months, performance will be reviewed and given a 12 months agreement with 3 months’ probation with associated benefits.
