Press Release: Finance Factory (FIFACT)_Tradeline Consult

Tamale (N/R), January 8, 2018 – Tradeline Consult is launching a flagship project, Finance Factory, to link investors and financial institutions with Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs). The project is designed, in the short and medium term, to train 500 Business Development Officers over three (3) years to help MSMEs in Ghana access practical and innovative solutions to finance and investment challenges in various sectors.

Finance Factory (FIFACT) is an innovative and practical product designed to ensure that MSMEs have full-time access to Accounting and Business Development Services at their own convenience.  This would be achieved through our current partnership with four (4) Auditing Firms in good standing and ten (10) Financial Institutions.

The FIFACT model resulted from Tradeline Consult’s (Tradeline) successful Business Advisory Service partnership with Financing Ghanaian Agriculture Project (USAID-FinGAP) in the Agricultural Sector. As a USAID-FinGAP partner, Tradeline has, within three years, facilitated finance of over $2 million for MSMEs in the maize, rice, and soy value chains and over $3million dollars in other sectors.

Tradeline expects Finance Factory to challenge MSMEs into developing robust and innovative businesses that are profitable and can be scaled-up to attract investors. To achieve this, the consultancy will facilitate direct investment into some of the MSMEs through its partner company BUFIA Investment Limited and consortia of impact and corporate investors, locally and internationally.

Under the FIFACT project, Tradeline Consult is recruiting fifty (50) Business Development Officers, from each of the (10) regions of Ghana, to be trained and equipped with tailor-made sector-specific skills to help MSMEs unlock and access investment and finance opportunities. To this end, Finance Factory will house entrepreneurs and MSMEs with the sole aim of addressing their business development and investment needs through an integrated and sustainable business approach.

Among others, the project will provide support to businesses faced with investments and finance challenges, low or dropping sales, poor financial record-keeping, how to identify investments opportunities and forge trusted business partnerships. Being a value chain consulting company, Tradeline is committed to contributing strategically towards developing entrepreneurship ecosystems to solve the major challenges expressed by MSMEs with regards to limited access to finance and investment opportunities.
