Seminar on Greenhouse farming
13.00-14.30 @ Presentation Platform Upper Floor
Joe Coetsee from Delphy, the largest global commercial service provider offering horticultural expertise, tailored to the individual grower, will present opportunities for greenhouse farming in Ghana. He will provide a short summary on the greenhouse options study conducted by Delphy in Ghana and demonstrate the practical example of their cooperation and experience with Latia Resource Centre in Kenya through data and figures. Lastly, Eric van Zandwijk from Delphy, will together with Agri Impact Consulting (AIC) elaborate on a project (concept) in which AIC and Delphy will work together on greenhouse farming and demonstrations (3 type of greenhouses) in Ghana.
Seminar on Organic Trade – Challenges and Prospects

Núria Vlonk Cunha-Soares, supply development manager from OTC-Organics – Organic Trading Company Holland, sourcing organic fruit and vegetables – The perspective of the Importer: and Sam Nii Quarcoo from Quin Organics (CEO) and the Founder & Patron of Bio Ghana Network will present on growing and exporting organic produce- The Farmer and Exporter perspective. During this session, OTC Holland will elaborate from the importer’s perspective, requirements, experiences, challenges in West Africa and Samuel will do the same from the producer and exporter perspective (certification, challenges, advantages, cultivation practices etc.)
