Recruitment of Public and Private Extension Officers-Commission Basis

Objective: Creating meaningful impact for farmers, pastoralists, fishers, and agribusinesses  with weather forecast and agronomic information.

Background: It is increasingly emerging that the provision of context-specific and user-friendly weather forecasting information at scale determines the resilience of farmers and pastoralists to variability and climate change. Additionally, information about crop, livestock, and poultry diseases and mitigation measures needed to be widely available to all interested value chain actors especially Farmer-based Organisations (FBOs) and Farmer-Based Cooperatives (FBCs) in Ghana. Current services being deployed by social enterprises and NGOs have very limited reach and dependent on grant and third-party support making them unsustainable and not scalable.

Syecomp, a remote sensing satellite and drone mapping company, in its quest to scale and impact smallholder food producers, pastoralists, and fishers with timely and localised on-demand weather and agronomic information is recruiting 216 extension officers across Ghana on commission basis.

Work: The company intends  engaging 216 graduates of  Agricultural Colleges, Universities, and allied training institutions to undertake commission-earning assignment nationwide. Selected persons will also be engaged as full-time personnel on some upcoming projects in some breadbasket regions.

Wages: Earning details will be communicated to selected applicants.
