Ghanaian Agribusinesses Network at Cocktail Party

Close to 70 representatives of agribusinesses in Ghana and invited corporate institutions came together for an evening networking cocktail party on Saturday October 28, 2017.

The Agribusiness representatives were made up of mostly young professionals, Agtech and Fintech start-up founders, crop farmers, livestock farmers, poultry farmers, fish farmers, and several C-Level corporate executives in Ghana.

The Agribusiness networking cocktail had a unique and onerous objective of connecting key players in the agricultural sector to share challenges, successes, and strategies to propel the growth of the sector.

The event, held within the premises of the African Agribusiness Incubators’ Network (AAIN) at Dzorwulu, was organised by the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) Ghana with support from the team at Trotro Tractor Ltd, Goona, and Farmable Ltd.

Aiming to boost local businesses, all the drinks and food served at the event were locally sourced. Participants were fully immersed in the expertly served delicious goat, beef, and fish khebab with varied home-grown chilled drinks on the side.

Participating companies include Syecomp Ghana Ltd, Goat Masters’ Ltd, Biggie Poultry Farms, Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana, Roshpinnah, Agricinghana Media, Farm Master’s Africa Ltd, and PDA Ghana.

Key invitees include the former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture Dr. Ahmed Alhassan Yakubu, Director of The Beige Foundation, Ms Akosua Adayi, and Dr Alex Ariho, CEO of AAIN.
