USAID Agricultural Policy Support Project Trains Civil Society Organisations in Ghana on Gender Statistics

The USAID Ghana Agricultural Policy Support Project (USAID|APSP) has organised a 2-day intensive training workshop from March 1st to 2nd, 2017 in Dodowa.This was organised for close to thirty (30) selected Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Government of Ghana (GoG) staff from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA).

The training in, “Gender Statistics”  facilitated by specialists from USAID|APSP is aimed at contributing to capacity building on gender equality, and how statistics on women and men can be compiled, analysed, disseminated and communicated in a manner that makes gender inequalities visible in the area of agriculture policy advocacy., the most comprehensive agrinews website in Ghana, made up of agricultural bloggers and journalists, actively participated in the workshop to improve its advocacy works in gender statistics and open data sharing.
